K-Drill Extension

The standard K-Drill can auger through up to 36” of ice. So when things get a bit more challenging than that, a 12" or 18" extension can be added for ice conditions beyond three feet. The extensions can also be “stacked” if needed to create a very long ice auger.

1. Slide the K-Drill’s float down, exposing the Allen bolt.
2. Remove the bolt and remove the drive stem and washer.
3. Install the stem of extension.
4. Replace and tighten the bolt removed in step #2.
5. Install the drive stem with washer into the top of extension.
6. Secure it with the new bolt provided.

You will notice that the extension also has a float attached. This is to account for the added weight. Do not remove this second float.

K-Drill 12 - 21 Inch Black/Orange Adjustable Auger Extension

Adds lengths of either 12, 18 or 21 In. to your K-Drill Ice auger system. Now you can drill up to 54 In. of ice with one extension. In conditions of thick ice, be sure to clear the hole of ice several times to assure excess ice shavings do not build-up in the hole which will bind the auger and make it hard to lift out once the hole is complete. Extension helps when cutting through thick ice (beyond 3 Ft.) or when you need extra length when drilling in a permanent fish house or when you just don't want to bend over so for when drilling through thick ice. Easy to install with an Allen Wrench (not included).
